Wow -- its 6 months for Nandha today.. What an amazing roller coaster journey! I didnt update the blog for sometime now...Nandha has grown up to a very naughty baby..He can crawl now, started eating solids, smiles at you back etc etc..but the only problem with him is he seems to have a sleeping problem..Hopefully he will come out of it soon and sleep happily..Nandha has his own pattern of sleeping..In the day time he needs to listen to A.R.Rahman hits to sleep and in the night time he needs to listen to Hariharan's krishna melodies..Nowdays, we are trying to tire him upto the maximum to get him to sleep..
Last 6 months has been very tiring for us -- lack of sleep, no other activities..but still the thought that our son is growing and the anticipation on what he would do next is an interesting experience and worth the pain..
I am looking forward for him to walk and talk -- so that I can start a dialogue with him ;)..

Nandha can see!
Nandha can see :) -- he is able to focus on us. We are not sure whether he can still recognise us -- but he seems to have got some confidence now.
This is his 5th week and we have started giving gripe water to relieve his gastric problems..That seems to be his biggest problem..
Last week - we celebrated his 31st day on planet earth and also took him to the East ham Murugan temple on Saturday. He coped well considering the fact that the journey was about 55 miles (single). But by night, he became restless and started crying..We have decided not to drive long distances with him...
Nandha seems to be a favourite with his grandparents..My mother loves to hear his voice over the phone and wants to come and see him in November :)..

Nandha is 4 weeks old today
Today is Nandha's fourth week on planet earth..He seems to be coping well..The only problem with him is his sleeping habits at night -- when he gets up at 1:00 am in the morning for his feed, he tends not to sleep till 4:00 am (till the next feed)..The problem stems out from the fact that he has learnt to sleep on our arms and if you put him on the bed -- he gets cranky..So we get very little sleep nowdays..Quite tiring..Today morning Nandha slept next to me -- and he started sucking my index finger in his sleep -- I was asleep too and didnt realize it for a long time..I felt it was very cute --but then I wasnt sure whether my finger was clean :D..Anyways, by god's grace -- he is coping well and is already being very naughty..

The Advent of Nandha Sai Sathiaseelan
Its been a very long time since I last blogged..So many things have changed in the last few years..The most important life changing things that happened to me were my dearest father's death, my marriage and now the birth of my dearest son Nandha Sai Sathiaseelan..
Nandha was born on a beautiful summer afternoon at the Rosie Hospital, Cambridge after a relatively quick labour - thanks to my wife's strength, courage and will power; God's grace and a very helpful midwife named Brenda..
Nandha was 5.5 lbs at birth and was considered pre-mature (36 weeks gestation) - and he had to be in the hospital for a week..
Now Nandha is 18 days old and I thought I should start a blog to record his life as a child and beyond..This blog would hopefully tell Nandha his story -- his journey towards adulthood..
